Grape varieties: 40% Merlot, 40% Syrah, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon
The vineyards are placed in the hillsides of Algairén’s mountain range, in the derivations of the Iberian System, to an altitude of 649 meters. Merlot and Syrah vineyards were planted 12 years ago and Cabernet Sauvignon was planted 17 years ago. Double cordon as vine training system. Soil is dun limy and reddish with gravel (called “cascajo” in this zone), with calcareous rocky substratum, is a poor soil, and as the vineyards are not irrigated, they gives reduced productions, but of a concentrated grape and of great quality. In addition, we carry out a respectful viticulture with the environment (we do not use insecticides or herbicides).
